Browsing Posts in Service Reviews

OneWayTextLink - Lame Okay, here goes another SEO service review. Most good webmasters know that getting links from other sites can help your site’s popularity increase. Submitting to high quality web directories can be great, because there are a tone of free weeb directories to submit your site to.

The problem is it’s a time consuming and arduous process to sit for hours and hours and only come away with a few links. Sometimes your site will not get approved, and sometimes it takes a long time to get approved by many of these directories.

Link building is a daily process, and often if you are a one man show, webmaster, designer, SEO expert, content writer, you simply do not have time for this vital process. Anyway to automate (semi-automate) this process is helpful. Automated submissions are often rejected and will get your email address banned for using these types of totally automated directory submissions soft wares. It’s one of the reasons I’m building my own semi automatic, browser based directory submissions package with Delphi.

That brings me to OneWayTextLink.Com. They promise a semi automated way to submit to free directories. Great in theory, as all they ask is a link back to actually take advantage of this link building service.

The problem with this service is simply that their implementation is horrible. Once you log in, you set up a profile, keywords, descriptions, email address, name to use when submitting, titles, etc… The form for adding this information to their site is tiny, and I hate tiny forms. Strike #1.

Strike #2 – Their directory list looked promising, however, when you click on a link, they frame the directory, it didn’t go to a submissions page, just the main page.

Strike #3 – There is supposed to be a button on the left hand pane of the browser that will pre fill the form on the directory website. It wasn’t there. I tried several directories. the button never appeared. So I copy & pasted to one directory.

Strike# 4 – After navigating back to the “control panel” I noticed the link I used to go to the previous directory disappeared, but the entry for it in the list was still there. There was a link to mark as submitted, so I tried that, figuring by now a review of this service was in order. It took me to a separate page with a date field, and another field to fill out. REALLY? I couldn’t have just clicked the link on the previous page and made that automatically mark this as submitted. WHAT A WASTE of TIME!

I am trying to save time. This site is the most overly-complicated way to submit to a directory I’ve ever encountered. I mean the missing prefill button was bad enough, could be just a browser bug or something, I’m using FireFox, but to mark as submitted takes a navigation, and then hand-fill two more form fields. The whole deal is I want form fields automatically filled IN!

Needless to say, I took the link I had added to their site down BEFORE I wrote this review. AVOID for serious webmasters.

Easy-Submits Directory Submissions
So I’m basically tired of paying for services to submit to directories for me. We probably all realize that submitting to directories for a free one way link is a great way and method of search engine optimization.

So I’m trying my hand at building an automated way (or at least semi-automated) to submit to directories. It’s been a while since I have been getting liks to my own directory, and my revenue is starting to shrink because of that. My wife used to sit for hours at a time and do nothing but get links, and it PAID OFF BIG TIME. She now has a full time job, and just doesn’t have the time or patience for that now.

While I’m building a submissions application, I started researching the issue, to make sure I’m not reinventing the wheel on directory submissions, and maybe I am, and maybe I’m not, but there seems to be several websites, and free software downloads that will accomplish semi-automated directory submissions.

The one I’ll be discussing here is Easy Submits. I’m not an affiliate, just a user, so there will be no bias in my review.

First, the website is easy to use. You have to create a membership which is completely free. You then can add your website’s details, and titles, descriptions, keywords etc.. After saving the details, you can begin working from their list.

You can sort their list of directories by page rank if so desired which I did, and submitted to the highest page ranked directories first. Of course their are some PR 0 directories present, and who really knows if the page rank as presented on the site is accurate, but the actual submissions process was really painless, and their system tracks which ones you’ve visited, submitted to, successes and failures.

When you click on a directory to submit to, you often have to enter the CAPTCHA code, then click submit. That’s all there is to it. Really simple, and you never leave the Easy Submits Site.

All in all i don’t think you can go wrong if you need some links from directories quickly.

Buy Hits Cheap Review

Buy Hits Cheap Review

Another review for a supposed “hit delivery” company. Although I haven’t tried these guys myself, I was think ing of it, because in fact they promise to deliver traffic cheaply. It didn’t take much due diligence to discover that there was plenty of feedback regarding this website and this service, “http://www.buyhitscheap.com” Check out: http://www.xomreviews.com/buyhitscheap.com.

From reading their customer’s actual experiences, it’s safe to day that this service is a total waste of time. Here’s a quote: “In the end I just opened a new browser and clicked on their google ads every 5 minutes every hour every day for a fortnight with a smirk on my face, knowing i might help stop others being ripped off and costing them money , my money. Please stay clear, you have been warned!”

Now I wouldn’t recommend doing that to anyone’s site, as I’m not a revenge type of guy, but I am the Internet Madman, so I would consider alternative strategies to reduce this website’s false and misleading advertisements, chiefly blogging about them. They claim to have promoted H&R Clock, 1-800 Flower.Com, and other big names on the web. If anyone has had any positive experiences with this company, please post a comment.

According to the Buy Traffic Guide, these guys are scams, and here is an excerpt of their opinion of http://www.buyhitscheap.com. “Conclusion – Buy Hits Cheap does look too good to be true. They are in fact a scam and a fraud and send FAKE traffic to your website – we assume they use pings as a matter of sending fake traffic. If it looks too good to be true (Amazon etc..) – STAY AWAY – BEWARE!”
